The Creation of a Torah Ark

We first have a vision in mind. Each work of art is unique and must represent the splendor and beauty befitting the holy Torah scroll it will encase, while considering the personal taste of the commissioner of the work.

We start by making a 3D sketch, considering every last detail, after which we construct a model of the highest precision. Now the true art work begins – making vision into reality.

Our silversmiths employ a vast area of techniques, supported by talent and superb craftsmanship, to create the most elaborate of works with the finest of details.

In addition to the sterling silver and 18k gold the ark is made with, we procure diamonds and other precious and semi­precious stones from around the world to be set in our piece to embellish it even further.

The meticulous creation of such a piece can take from a year to eighteen months to complete.
